Complete system The MQ is a complete, all-in-one unit, incorporating pump, motor, diaphragm tank, pressure and flow sensor, controller and non-return valve. The controller ensures that the pump starts automatically when water is consumed and stops automatically when the consumption ceases. In addition, the controller protects the pump in case of faults.

Installation Due to its space-efficient design, the pump does not take up much space and is straightforward to install. No space around the pump is required.

uncomplicated operation The pump features a user-friendly control panel with ON/OFF button and indicator lights for indication of the operational state of the pump.

Self-priming pump As it is self-priming, the MQ is able to pump water from a level below the pump. Provided it is filled with water, the pump is able to lift water from a depth of 8 m in less than 5 minutes. This facilitates installation and start-up of the pump and provides more dependable water supply in installations where there is a risk of dry running and leakages in suction hose or pipes.

Built-in protective functions If exposed to dry running or excessive temperature, for example in case of seizure or overload, the pump will stop automatically, thus preventing a motor burnout.

self-operating reset The pump features an self-operating reset function. In case of dry running or similar alarm, the pump will stop. Restarting will be attempted every 30 minutes for a period of 24 hours. The reset function can be deactivated.

Low noise level Thanks to its hydraulic design and internal cooling, the pump is extremely low-noise, which makes it appropriate for indoor as well as outdoor use.

Pressure tank The built-in pressure tank reduces the number of starts and stops in case of leakages in the pipe system, causing less wear on the pump.

Maintenance No maintenance of the pump is required.

Grundfos SCALA2 is fully integrated, self-priming, space-efficient waterworks for pressure boosting in domestic applications. SCALA2 incorporates integrated speed control, enabling perfect pressure at the taps, meaning that the pump performance automatically adjusts according to demand.

SCALA2 can be installed in three straightforward steps:

1. Connect the pipes.

2. Prime the pump.

3. Plug the pump into the power outlet, and the pump starts.

Grundfos SCALA2 has all the components necessary to ensure comfortable pressure:

SCALA2 features self-priming, which enables the pump to extract water from a level below the pump. Once adequately primed, the pump is capable of effortlessly lifting water from depths down to 8 metres in less than 5 minutes. The pump moreover guarantees dependable water supply in situations where there is a risk of dry running and leakages in the inlet hose or pipes, thereby enhancing the overall reliability of the system.

In the event of dry running, water shortage, extreme temperatures or if the pump becomes blocked due to seizure or overload, the pump automatically shuts down, preventing damage or motor burnout.

The pump features an self-operating reset function. In case of dry running or similar alarm, the pump stops. The pump attempts to restart every five minutes for a total of eight times. After the eighth attempt, a new restart attempt occurs every 24 hours. The self-operating reset function can be deactivated. Thanks to its hydraulic design, permanent-magnet motor and water cooling, the pump is extremely low-noise, 44 dB(A) in typical use, which makes it appropriate for indoor as well as outdoor use. Maximum noise level at full load is 53 dB(A).

The built-in pressure tank reduces the number of starts and stops in case of leakages in the pipe system, thereby prolonging the lifetime of the pump.
