Vertical, multi-stage centrifugal pump unit with inlet and outlet ports on same the level (inline). Pump materials in contact with the liquid are in Stainless Steel. A cartridge shaft seal ensures high reliability, safe handling, and straightforward access and service. Power transmission is via a rigid split coupling. Pipe connection is via FlexiClamps. The pump is equipped with a 1-phase, fan-cooled asynchronous motor.

Grundfos ALPHA1 high-efficiency circulator pumps are designed for circulating liquids in heating systems. The stainless-steel variant of ALPHA1 is appropriate for, for example, domestic hot-water systems. With an energy efficiency index (EEI) at the ErP benchmark for most high-efficiency pumps, it contributes to energy savings.

The pump can operate in proportional-pressure, constant-pressure and constant-curve mode. The control mode is selected using the button on the display. The LEDs indicate the operating status, actual power consumption in watts as well as warnings and alarms.

The design and materials of the pump contribute to a long service life. The pump is self-venting through the system, which contributes to straightforward commissioning. The space-efficient design, featuring a pump head with an integrated control box, fits into most common installations. The pump and motor form an integral unit without a shaft seal. The bearings are lubricated by the pumped liquid. These design features ensure maintenance-free operation.

Pump housings made of Cast Iron are electrocoated to improve corrosion resistance. The motor is a synchronous permanent-magnet/space-efficient-stator motor characterised by high efficiency. Pump speed is controlled by an integrated frequency converter incorporated in the control box.

Pumps are supplied with insulating shells to minimise heat loss in heating systems.

Single-stage, close-coupled, volute (centrifugal) pump unit with in-line suction and discharge ports of identical diameter. The pump is of the top-pull-out design, i.e. the power head (motor, pump head and impeller) can be removed for maintenance or service while the pump housing remains in the pipework. The pump is equipped with an unbalanced rubber bellows seal. The shaft seal is according to EN 12756. All pipework connection is via PN 6 DIN flanges (EN 1092-2 and ISO 7005-2). The pump is equipped with a fan-cooled asynchronous motor.

The pumps are appropriate for both stationary and portable use. They are for self-operating operation. The pumps allow free passage of particles up to ¸10 mm.

The motor incorporates self-operating overload protection cutting out the motor in case of overload. When cooled to normal temperature, the motor restarts automatically.
