Clarke - CBT1400SS 1" 1650W 90Lpm 50m head Stainless Steel Booster Pump - 230V - Single Phase - 90 Ltr/minThe Clarke - CBT1400SS 1" 1650W 90Lpm 50m head Stainless Steel Booster Pump - 230V - Single Phase - 90 Ltr/min.
The Clarke CBT1400SS 1" 1650W 90Lpm 50m Head Stainless Steel Booster Pump (230V) is a elevated specification, powerful and robust booster pump built with a Stainless Steel body, motor shaft and impeller to prevent rust and corrosion. The CBT1400SS is ideal for boosting or maintaining the water pressure of cold, clean liquid thanks to its powerful 1650W drive. Self-priming after an initial priming, the booster pump also features a 24L storage pressure tank so that when a tap is turned on, the water stored under pressure is used first.
The CBT1400SS also features an automatic pressure switch, so that when pressure drops, the booster pumps turns on until pressure is built up to the 5.0Bar cut-off point where it then automatically switches off. As pressure in the system reduces, the booster pump will then switch on, to increase pressure back to the cut-off point. All of this, along with a huge flow rate of 90L/min and a non-return valve, ensures that water pressure is maintained at optimal levels, giving a constant and reliable increase in water pressure around the home, workshop or garage.
The Clarke CBT1400SS 1" 1650W 90Lpm 50m Head Stainless Steel Booster Pump (230V) also includes a Clarke PF1 inlet water filter to keep the output clean, reducing wear-and-tear on the pump, ensuring a longer working life and reducing repair costs throughout the product's life cycle.

Self Priming Pumps
Self-priming pumps are centrifugal pumps designed to re-establish their own prime, making them ideal for applications where the suction line may contain air or the pump must lift liquid from a lower level. By mixing a small amount of air with liquid already in the pump casing, the impeller creates suction that draws in more fluid, allowing continuous operation without manual priming.
These pumps are versatile and widely used across industries. Common applications include transferring clean, dirty, or muddy water, chemical handling (with compatible materials), irrigation, drainage, and boosting water pressure. They are also suitable for loading and unloading liquids in agricultural or industrial settings.
It’s important to note that self-priming pumps require some fluid in the casing to function correctly. Running dry can damage seals or impellers, so always ensure the pump is properly primed before use.
