Sump Pumps

Sump Pumps

Sump pumps keep low-lying areas like basements, sump pits, or plant rooms free from unwanted water. Water flows into the sump pit through the drainage system and naturally through the surrounding soil. Once the water reaches a certain level, the pump moves it safely away from your building, helping prevent flooding and water damage.

Some sump pumps are manual, but we recommend going with an automatic model with built-in float switches or level controls. These trigger the pump when water reaches a set point and shut it off once the area is clear, giving you complete control over when and how the pump operates.

There’s a range of motor sizes available, with more powerful motors able to move greater volumes of water. The height that water can be lifted is also determined by the pump’s head pressure, so it’s important to choose a pump that suits your property’s needs.
