The LB series is a lightweight and robust range of single-phase contractors' pumps used widely by tool rental companies, utilities and in the construction industry. Considered the "hire industry standard", early models have been used since the 1970's. The hydraulic design features a double mechanical seal, with an oil lifter, for positive seal lubrication in any operating position, with rubber and urethane components that give excellent wear resistance in site water Uses that contain sand and silt in suspension. The top discharge design forms a water and air-cooling channel and this, combined with a high-performance motor, enables long periods of operation in seepage conditions. On the LB-480 and LB-800 models, the discharge can be fixed in horizontal or vertical positions to enable the user to position the outlet in the required direction and prevent obstructions from a kinked hose.

This feature, combined with the water and air cooling route to the top outlet, allows the pump to operate for extended periods with little or no water.

Manufactured by Tsurumi - pumps, the LB series submersible water pumps are extremely robust, compact contractor pumps, that has a 2 inch (50mm) outlet and a tough pressed steel strainer base and body.

For the automatic control of water levels, LB480 and LB800 are available with sensor and float switches: 

The  switch has two 304 Stainless Steel probes that are encapsulated in moulded rubber and it is designed for portable Uses. The compact design and precise water level control also makes it suitable for fixed installations and narrow or shallow sumps. During use, when both probes touch water, the Pump - 10-10-1178 will start and continue to operate for one minute after the water level drops. However, if the water touches both probes again within this time, the pump continues pumping for another minute and will continue like this on demand, so keeping the water level constantly below the level of the probes at all times. The off level can be as low as the suction cover at 20mm, depending on the sump size or area being drained. Probes can be lengthened by 70mm or 170mm, with , to enable a lower "on" and "off" level.

The  float-switch has a power cable connected to a waterproof case that contains a ball bearing actuated switch and is designed for portable and fixed installations. The cable is clamped to the pump, with a small amount of adjustment to alter the "on" and "off" level.

The  float-switch has a switch actuated by a floating cylinder, housed within a tube. Compact, with fixed "on" and "off" levels for precise level control, it is intended for narrow sumps and fixed installations. 

They all offer excellent durability during periods of continuous use and/or operator abuse.
